You don't have to be an accountant to do your taxes with Turbotax. The only thing that would have made Turbotax better is giving returning customers more discounts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from normally it is easy having to update to new devices, I had forgotten passwords, I have been receiving several ok many emails for me to start my taxes due to I have had an account with Turbo tax,.But tryin, to link accounts together should of been a smooth transition with All my information the same but it was not

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Usually great but lost out on $300 charitable Quick easy and got me a good refund like usual but this year it struggled with the $300 charitable deduction on top of the standard federal deduction. I had to drop it to e-file.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would Have given 5 stars I would have rated a 5 star if I was able to e-file but because I had to file a form because of COVID I wasn’t able to e-file! I would think the IRS would have know about this as this is a form they’ve had for years for self-employed sick leave,but most people like myself haven’t had to ever file this before. They had time to figure out a way to allow us to e-file.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax Wash Sale Rounding Error I am particularly unimpressed with this tax software this year. If you have an automatic function that imports investment information it should just work. I had to go through and manually find all of the Wash Sale information less than $0.49 on individual investments and make them blank. Granted, there were only 4 to do this on, but I had to search through a couple hundred to find them. The software should do this automatically especially if I am paying around $100 to do the work that the software should already be doing automatically. Will be doing taxes elsewhere next year supporting local tax professionals rather than a large business tax firm. You get two stars because I didn't have to do everything manually, but TurboTax seems to be a racket the more complicated my tax situation gets.
