Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pricing is rediculous i understand that necessary fees for providing a service, but come on man. 150 just to file and transmit, it hurts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy and clear Turbotax makes it so easy to do your own taxes, why would you let someone else do it if you can do it yourself and save some tax refund money as well. I really recommend this !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not report key information to user I've been using TurboTax for 10 years now and for the most part it has been fine but there are a few quirks that are incredibly frustrating and make me wonder if I can continue to use it. The primary issue this year was that TurboTax was telling me I needed to mail some forms in because the e-file was not sufficient, but it gave NO indication of that until I previewed the return prior to e-filing. Luckily I did catch it and was able to go back and fix the issue, but this is a huge failing to not flag the choice to summarize a stock sale early in the return and indicate that summarizing has implications (e.g. needing to mail in documentation). The second issue was that there was line 23 "other taxes" on the 1040 that was filled in unbeknownst to me and with no indication of what this was. I had to dig through the Schedule 2 and other forms to figure out where this number came from. In the end it was calculated based on supplied information, but this is an area where TurboTax could do a much better job informing the user that based on what was reported, XYZ worksheet needs to be filled out and is adjusting your taxes. It seems inconsistent that TurboTax assumes that I should know summarizing a stock transaction means I'll have to mail in forms, but then hides other information affecting my return. Lastly, this is a gripe rather than a real issue, but the whole requiring drivers license information in order to file is just annoying. Its supposed to prevent identity theft or some such but when I'm doing the taxes while my wife is at work and suddenly I can't finish because I don't have her license, that is just annoying.
