Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unforeseen Problems Turbo Tax was a great, awesome product. However, changes in recent years have become increasingly frustrating. This year it refused me 'permissions' on my USB drive that I've been using since 2008. I assumed the drive needed replace so I copied all my files to a new drive and Turbo Tax refused me 'permissions' on that also, which prevented my return being e-filed (error was file could not transmit because it wouldn't save). After checking everything to ensure I am administrator and do have permissions, I finally copied the file to my desktop, and from there it would e-file and save. That's just wrong!! The positive is that it is a great program for completing the taxes!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from last few years turbo tax changed I've been using turbo tax for over 20 years and it was great and reliable. Now the last 3 years i have not been confident that the software is working correctly. I get errors that are not errors and have to manually change them. It was never like what ive been seeing and not filling in right forms or automatically attaching like it should be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax does basics well, but has flaws Overall it did well. There were 2 major bugs that I encountered. 1. Even though I reviewed my W2 information multiple times, it still showed as needing reviewed with no indication as to what was wrong. Later as the system did a final review it flagged I was missing my employer id. It would have been helpful to indicate that initially. 2. When I paid, I clicked the link to "Print my receipt" and all I got was 2 empty pages, other than header and url. It didn't have any of the details.
