Rated 3 out of 5 by from Usually great, but fell short this year. Probably a one-star rating for this year, but I've had great experiences in the past, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt. This year, I had a not-so-unique situation where I moved back into a home I had been renting for several years. TurboTax TOTALLY jacked up the calculations--They could have easily done the calculations correctly based on the info I input, or at a minimum, had "helper text" to explain various situations. Would have cost me ~$3-4K had I not caught it. It took me ~12 hours to figure out why TurboTax was doing the calculations the way it was, and another 4 to fix the issue. I spent at least 3 hours of phone calls with Customer Service (plus time waiting for a callback) to get it sorted out. One of the reps I spoke with really cared about my issue and tried their best to help, and directed me to the correct IRS publication that ultimately helped answer my question. The 2nd couldn't have cared less and sent me irrelevant information. Total waste of 1.5 hours. The 3rd was awesome. "The Community" they try to direct you to for answering is useless--may as well be Reddit. Even if you come across the correct topic, how do you know to trust the info provided by the "community". In the end, I got it done, and expect I'll use TurboTax for the foreseeable future despite this experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Time Ever!!! This is my first time ever filing my tax's myself and Turbo Tax made it a breeze... this is definitely the way I will file going forward. Step by step.. pretty much error free.. i saw no way for me to make a mistake or forget something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO easy and fast I like that many forms/boxes have highlighted terms that give insight and examples for less common tax information. This feature always answers the majority of my tax return questions. It's also nice to have expert support available whenever I might need it throughout the return process.
