Now with all the irs regulations, I must trust them to steer me right in the labyrinth. This makes me nervous and unsure. Talking to a TurboTax/Intuit rep is difficult because they ask questions I cannot answer. The cost seems to be comparable to taking my files into a CPA for the return, so it may go that way for me next year.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
