I'm one of the many who aren't very tax-literate, so ever since I started using their service, it's been such a blessing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Normally great, but Issues w/ Excess Roth Contribu I have used TT for almost a decade. Normally great. This year I found out I made excess Roth IRA contributions in 2019 and 2020. If you just answer the questions, it erroneously calculated me paying more taxes than required. After the third live consult, the tax expert went through the process with me and agreed I did not have to fill out the forms this year since the removal of the excess occurred in Jan 2021. If it were not for me doing my own research, TT would have cost me hundreds more and issues next year since that is when I would get by 1099-Rs for these contributions. TT needs to fix this issue!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm not impressed I've used this site for the last five years , the only problem I have is that I cant E-file MA state taxes . I had a phone conference with one of your experts that didn't resolve any issues . MA state return was kicking back the return due to schedule C issue . I wasn't self employed , filed a W2 . had to hack my way around the issue , print and file by mail . last year was the same issue and i never got back the money , over $400 , that MA owes me .
