Rated 2 out of 5 by from Selected "free-file" and isn't free For a couple year now I've received email notifications about filing my tax returns for free and it hasn't been free at all. They capture you with flashy pages that have $60 crossed out and replaced with $40 then double it on the transmission page to $80. I followed the links with the digital helping guide only to be charged $80 anyway. I had to cancel my "MAX" benefits just to bring the price from $130 to just $80. I understand everyone needs to get paid and all but, when you advertise something it should be that and not a cash grabbing neon sign instead.
