why do we have to pay santa barbra bank for direct deposit when the irs does direct deposit to on the same date as santa barbra bank does

we have the option for direct deposit from the irs with no added fees and when you check the date of deposit on www.irs.gov its the same as santa barbra bank so my question is why are we being charged for a so called rapid refund when they get it the same day as we would if the irs had the account info for deposit it seems like this is just another way of making an extra 30 bucks for turbotax instead of giving us this option for irs direct deposit i am trying to check it out so if you have any answers please let me know

You have the option of direct deposit from IRS you just need to paid the fees by credit card for using the program. The option of santa barbara bank direct deposit the fess for using the program are taken out of the federal refund and that is what the extra fees are for.
