Is my refund a loan or direct from IRS?

This is my first time using turbo tax, most places do refund loans. I wanted to how turbo tax receive the funds

TurboTax, or more appropriately Intuit, does not handle your refund at all. They merely deliver your return to the taxing authorities. Your refund comes direct from them... UNLESS, you choose to have TurboTax charges withheld from your refund. In that case, a bank named Santa Barbara Bank & Trust intercepts your refund from the IRS, deducts fees, and then sends the remainder to your bank.

Intuit does not even offer RAL's.

thank you. I wanted to be sure before submitting. loans fees can be expensive.
