Error 67108891: "The download was not successful..."

This error occurs when you attempt to use One-click Updates in your TurboTax program:

Error 67108891: The download was not successful. The file may be incomplete, the server experienced an error or your Internet connection disconnected. Try again now, or wait and try downloading later.

Follow the steps below in order. After each step, try using One-click Updates.

  1. Enable cookies and disable pop-up blocking.
  2. Temporarily disable your firewall and virus-detection software.
    Note: After updating TurboTax, be sure to enable your firewall and virus-detection software.
  3. Delete your temporary Internet files:
    • From the Start menu, select Settings, and then select Control Panel.
    • Double-click Internet Options.
    • Select the General tab.
    • In the Temporary Internet Files section, select Delete Files, and then select OK.
