Error 30365: You cannot download and install updates unless...

Error 30365 occurs if you do not have administrative rights to update TurboTax:

You cannot download and install updates unless you are logged in as an Administrator.

To resolve this error, you log on to your computer using an account that has administrative rights:

  1. From the Start menu, click Log Off [user name].
  2. Click Log Off, and then click OK.
  3. Log on as the computer administrator (or as a user with administrator rights). You may need to know the password.

Note

  • If you cannot log on with administrator rights, ask the computer administrator for assistance.
  • The steps above may vary depending on your Windows system. For additional information, refer to your Windows Help.
