If you're unable to update TurboTax automatically, you can manually download updates for your TurboTax 2007 personal tax return. (For TurboTax Business 2007 updates, click here.)
Important: If you use a dial-up connection, downloading updates may take several hours. We recommend the free update CD. For ordering information, click here.
Note: Manually updating TurboTax does not resolve connection issues caused by your computer setup. Your system's firewall, content blocker, Internet settings, etc., can prevent you from automatically checking for updates or using One-click Updates. Connection errors will continue to occur until you resolve your computer issues.Follow these steps:
- Click the link below, and then save the download on your computer:
TurboTax 2007 for Windows (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business)
When downloading is complete, the
icon appears on your computer where you downloaded the file.
- Close all programs, including TurboTax.
- Double-click the icon to install the updates. Do not interrupt the installation process or end it prematurely.
Tip: To work around any error messages, you can temporarily turn off automatically checking for updates and manually verify your TurboTax is up to date (for steps, see Set Your Connection Preference and Verify TurboTax Is Up to Date). When prompted in TurboTax, you can sign up to be notified when your forms are available, and upon notification, either download the updates or order the free update CD.Note: When you manually update, you apply the latest forms and software revisions to your TurboTax program. You may need to update again later, depending on your tax situation.
