Verify TurboTax Business Is Up to Date

We provide updates throughout the tax season to keep TurboTax 2008 software in sync with the latest tax changes. Before you file your tax return, be sure you have the latest TurboTax updates.

Select an update verification method:

Verify Using Check for Updates

Follow these steps:

  1. On the menu bar at the top of the TurboTax window, select Online, and then select Check for Updates.

  2. The Updater will open and you'll see the message Checking for software updates... Wait for the Updater to finish checking.
  3. If updates are available, the Updater will then prompt you to download them; otherwise, you'll see the message Your software is up to date.

 

Verify Manually

To verify you have the latest  federal updates, follow the steps below.

  1. On the menu bar at the top of the TurboTax window, select Help, and then select About TurboTax Business 2008.

  2. On the About window, click the Version tab.
  3. Click the Version tab and compare the version number of the first six Modules with the screenshot below. (If you cannot see the entire window, modify your screen resolution.)

  4. If TurboTax displays a lower version number for any of the above Modules, update TurboTax.
