To remove a form, schedule, or worksheet from your return, select your TurboTax product, and then follow the steps.
Important: Because tax calculations are complex and interrelated, removing a form may not completely delete the form from your return. Removing a form is not recommended unless you are sure of your tax situation and the forms you need.
TurboTax Online
Important: You cannot recover information from a deleted form. If you find you need the form later, you must add the form to your return and then complete it.Follow these steps:
- On the Home tab (
), select Quick Links, then Other Options, and then Delete a Form.
- Select Delete next to the form to remove.
- Select Delete Selected Form to confirm.
TurboTax for Windows
Important: You cannot recover information from a deleted form. If you find you need the form later, you must add the form to your return and then complete it.
Important: If other forms provide information to the form you're removing, TurboTax lists the related forms, too. If you remove the main form, you also remove its related forms. To remove the forms, select Remove Listed Forms.
Note: Deleting a form removes it from the Show My Return list. However, If you delete a form that TurboTax automatically completes based on information you've entered elsewhere in your return, the form will reappear in the Show My Return list, but it will not contain any information.Follow these steps:
- In TurboTax, on the Forms menu, select Show My Return.
- In the Open Form window, select the form, and then select Remove.
- Click Yes to confirm.
