Select a link below to quickly solve your printing issue.
You'll view or print your tax return(s) in Adobe Systems corporation's Portable Document Format (PDF).
- Check to make sure that you have the latest Adobe Reader software installed on your computer.
- Sign on to TurboTax Online.
- When your tax return opens, select the Print & File tab.
- In the Print & File screen, select Continue.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the TurboTax Interview.
- In the Get Ready to E-File Your Returns screen, select the File by Mail button.
- In the Select the Returns You're Ready to File by Mail screen, select the federal or state tax return(s) that you want to print.
- Continue following the on-screen instructions in the TurboTax Interview.
- In the Print Tax Return for Mailing screen, select the Print Returns to Mail button.
- TurboTax Online opens an Adobe Reader window that displays your tax return in PDF format. Please be patient, it may take a moment for the window to open.
- Select the Bookmarks button on the left to navigate and view individual forms in your tax return
- Use the buttons on the Adobe toolbar to print, save, page forward/back, or resize your tax return.
- When you are ready to print your income tax return, select the Print Returns button at the top. We highly recommend that you print a return for your records.

When you have purchased your online tax return, you can print specific forms (such as filing instructions) attached to your income tax return.
To print a form, do the following:
- With the Adobe Reader window still open, select the Bookmarks button on the left to view individual forms in your return.
- Select the tax form that you want to print from the Bookmarks tab, and then select the printer icon on the Adobe toolbar. TurboTax Online opens a Print dialog box.

- In the Print dialog box, go to the Print Range area, then make your print selections for your tax return. You can print a single page or a range of pages.

- Choose any other options you want in the Print dialog box.
- When you are ready to print, select OK.
You'll print your estimated tax vouchers in the same way you print other tax forms described in How to print a specific tax form. To do so, scroll down the Bookmarks tab to the Estimated Tax Payments topic, select the form, then select the Print button.
To print your e-filing instructions, follow Steps 1 through 4 above. When you preview your tax return, the print instructions are on the first page.
Follow these instructions to view or print a previous year tax return filed through TurboTax Online.
- Log on to TurboTax Online.
- Select the Tools tab on the right side of the screen.
- Select View Past Returns.

- Follow the on-screen instructions to view and print your tax return.
You have other options for getting printed copies of your federal tax return information:
Tax Return Transcripts. Shows most of the line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. It does not reflect any changes made after the return was filed. In many cases, a return transcript will meet the requirements of lending institutions such as those offering mortgages and for applying for student loans.
Tax Account Transcripts. Shows any later adjustments either made after the tax return was filed such as your basic personal data, including marital status, type of return filed, adjusted gross income and taxable income.
Tax Return Copies. An exact copy of a tax return you previously filed plus all attachments (including Form W-2). You will be charged a $39 fee for each tax year requested. Copies are generally available for returns filed in the current tax year and for the past 6 tax years.
You can request transcripts or copies of your tax return by calling the IRS directly 1-800-829-1040. You can also order transcripts by mail by downloading and printing:

You will not be charged a fee for transcripts. You should allow at least two weeks for delivery.
