Troubleshoot Installing the TurboTax CD (Mac)

If you have trouble installing the TurboTax CD, these procedures can help identify and resolve the problem:

  • Verify your computer meets minimum system requirements.
  • Verify you have administrator rights on your computer.
  • Clean the TurboTax product CD:
    • Use a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with plain water or rubbing alcohol.
    • Wipe the shiny surface of the CD straight from the center to the edge. Never use a circular motion.
  • Install TurboTax from a second CD-RW or DVD drive on your computer (if applicable).
