One of the following error messages may appear if your computer cannot expand the downloaded TurboTax file (also called "unzipping" or "unstuffing" the file):

No application extension for DL.img.sit
There is no default application specified to open document DL.img.sit

Solution

To resolve this issue, download and install StuffIt Expander, a free software tool.

Note: TurboTax product files are compressed so you can download them more quickly over the Internet. You computer must expand the downloaded file before you can install the product. Many computer operating systems have expansion software built in; however, some Mac OS X versions (such as 10.4) do not.
