Error: "Quicken Is Not Installed" When Importing from Quicken

The message Quicken Is Not Installed appears when attempting to import data from Quicken.

Possible Cause and Solution

This message may occur if you have more than one version of Quicken installed on your computer.

To resolve:

  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken\Config folder and locate the quicken.ini file.
  2. Right-click the file and choose Rename.
  3. Rename the file to quicken.old.
  4. Open Quicken and import your information into TurboTax.
  5. Reinstall the newer version of Quicken.

If the issue persists:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall Quicken.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall TurboTax, then import your information.
