In TurboTax Online, you can delete your state return or you can clear information from your federal and state returns if you need to start over.
To delete a specific form from your return, see Remove Forms from Your Return.

Delete your state return
You can delete your state return if you need to start over on your state return or if you decide to prepare your return for a different state.

To delete your state return, follow these steps:
- Select the State Taxes tab at the top of the screen.
- On the State Taxes screen, select Continue.
- On the Your State Return screen, select Delete next to the state to delete, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the Your State Return screen, select Add Another State Return to start over or to select a different state.
Clear your return and start over
You can start over on your federal and state returns by clearing your return.

To clear your return, follow these steps:
- If you're not on the Wecome page, click the
tab at the top of your TurboTax Online screen. - Select Quick Links, then Other Options, and then Clear Return.
- Select Yes, Clear My Return.
- On the Your Information Has Been Cleared screen, select Continue to start a new return.
