The TurboTax Live Community provides a place for customers to discuss support topics and learn from each other. Message boards are where members post questions and answers. Come with your toughest issues or specific line item tax questions (Federal & State) -- chances are, someone has a solution or can point you in the right direction!

Live Tax Advice ($29.95)

Live Tax Advice is one-on-one, live support from highly qualified tax professionals skilled at answering questions specifically related to federal tax law.

Our tax advisors are professional tax preparers and IRS-enrolled agents with advanced education in and extensive knowledge of tax law and return preparation. Live Tax Advice is a good option if you want to privately speak to someone one-on-one about your federal tax situation.

Here's how Live Tax Advice works:

  1. You submit your tax question or situation on a web form.
  2. We send you a time-stamped confirmation through email.
  3. Within 48 hours of confirmation, our Tax Advisors will call you to answer your question. (If additional research is necessary, they will schedule a time to call you back.)

Note: TurboTax Live Tax advisors can only assist you with federal tax questions. They do not support questions on state taxes at this time.

You'll pay $29.95 for the first 20 minutes, then $19.95 for each additional 20 minute period.

TurboTax Support Team Blog (Free)

The TurboTax Support Team Blog is created by our team of tax experts (some of whom develop TurboTax as their day jobs), technical experts, and in general, people who know TurboTax inside and out.

They pick topics that customers have been talking about on the TurboTax Live Community and then expand on that topic in a blog to cover in one place most of the issues folks are having with that area. Topics are regularly created and updated. Some of the topics already covered in blogs are:
