How to Print a Copy of a Tax Form (Desktop)

You can print most tax forms, schedules, or worksheets using the TurboTax Desktop program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu, then select Open Tax Return to open your tax return.
  2. If you want to print a federal tax form in your FEDERAL income tax return, select the Federal Taxes tab, then skip to STEP 4 .
  3. If you want to print a state tax form in your STATE income tax return, select the State Taxes tab.
    • In the State Taxes screen, select the Continue button
    • In the Start Your State Returns screen, select the Start State button to open your state income tax return.
  4. Go to the Forms menu on the menu bar, and then select Open a Form.

  1. In the Open Form dialog box, scroll down to the tax form or worksheet that you want to open, and then select Open.

  1. If the TurboTax program prompts you, create a new copy of the form. This is optional. Some tax forms listed in the Open Form dialog box do not require you to create a new copy.

  1. When the form opens, select the Print button at the top to print the form.

  1. Select the Close Form button or Back to Interview button at the top.
