Form 8283 Limited to Two When E-filing

The IRS limits the number of Form 8283 - Noncash Charitable Contributions forms to two per e-filed tax return. If you print and mail your return, there's no limit to the number of copies of Form 8283 you can file.

Try consolidating donations to the same charity to save line entries. If you still need more than two Forms 8283, you need to print and mail your return.

  •
  • Form 8283 Section A, Donated Property of $5,000 or Less and Certain Publicly Traded Securities, is limited to five entries.
  • Form 8283 Section B, Donated Property Over $5,000 (Except Certain Publicly Traded Securities), is limited to four entries.
