E-File Charges in TurboTax 2007

TurboTax 2007 CD/Download

If you use TurboTax 2007 desktop software for Windows or Mac, the e-filing fee is $17.95 for each 2007 tax return that you e-file.

When you review your credit card statement, you'll see the item description INTUIT *TURBOTAX along with a toll free telephone number that indicate your income tax return e-filing charges.

Here are some examples of e-filing charges:

If you e-file

Your Credit Card is charged

One 2007 federal tax return separately $17.95*
One 2007 state tax return separately $17.95
One 2007 federal tax return and one 2007 state tax return together $35.90
One 2007 federal tax return and two 2007 state tax returns together $53.85

*E-filing fees may be subject to state sales tax.

You will see a separate charge on your credit card statement for each income tax return that you e-filed separately.

For example, if you e-filed two 2007 income tax returns separately (e.g. a federal and one state), your credit card statement will list two separate charges of $17.95 for each e-filed tax return.

You must pay your e-filing fees with a credit card or debit card (no checks, money orders, cash, etc.). There is no additional charge to e-file a rejected tax return again. See No Additional Charge to Resubmit a Rejected E-filed Return for details.

TurboTax Online 2007

If you use TurboTax Online 2007 (i.e. prepare your tax return over the Internet), the e-filing fee is already included in the cost of preparing your income tax return. You do not pay a separate e-filing fee.

Deducting TurboTax Fees from Your 2007 Tax Refund

You can have your TurboTax desktop software e-filing fees or your TurboTax Online tax preparation fees deducted from your 2007 federal refund (rather than pay by credit card) and have the remainder of your refund deposited directly into your bank account.

You'll pay an additional $29.95 processing fee if you select the option to deduct TurboTax fees from your 2007 refund.

Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (SBBT) is the exclusive provider of this tax refund processing service. For more information, see Paying TurboTax Fees With Your Tax Refund.
