No Additional Charge to Re-Transmit a Rejected E-filed Return

Although you may be prompted to re-enter your credit card and billing information, TurboTax does not charge you a fee to re-file a rejected electronically filed income tax return.

If you cannot or choose not to re-file a rejected electronic tax return, we do not refund the TurboTax e-filing transmission fee. Circumstances beyond our control, such as incorrect information, IRS or state requirements not met, or a malfunction of the taxing authority's system, can cause an electronic return to be rejected. These e-file rejections are not related to our e-filing service and we still incur the cost of the e-filing transmission.
