Error: ZIP Code Not Recognized When E-filing

If you get a message indicating that TurboTax does not recognize your ZIP code while e-filing, it probably means there is an inadvertent space included in the ZIP code.

How to resolve this error
  1. When the zip code error appears during the error check, click in the ZIP Code field and delete all the numbers listed.
  2. With your curser still in the ZIP Code field, press the Delete key a few times, and then press the Backspace key a few times. This ensures that there are no spaces remaining.
  3. Retype your ZIP code in the field, and then click Continue.
