These messages occur when checking the status of an e-filed return. Here are the complete messages:

Error Code 0668: Self-Select PIN Program - The Primary Taxpayer is ineligible to participate in the Self-Select PIN program since the Primary Taxpayer is a duplicate on the IRS File.
Error Code 0669: Self-Select PIN Program - The Secondary Taxpayer is ineligible to participate in the Self-Select PIN program since the Secondary Taxpayer is a duplicate on the IRS File.

How to resolve this error

This issue may indicate that you have a duplicate return at the IRS.

Once you've been able to take care of the duplicate return, you can likely still e-file if you used a PIN to e-file last year (and you remember it).
