Allow Cookies and Pop-ups (TurboTax Online)

Access and navigate TurboTax Online 2007 more easily by allowing your browser to accept cookies and pop-up windows.

Select your system below, and then follow the steps for your browser.

TurboTax Online for Windows

Important: Be sure your browser meets the minimum requirements for TurboTax Online 2007. To view requirements, click here.

Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x

Note: TurboTax Online does not support Internet Explorer 5.x (or earlier).

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Settings, move the slider to Medium.
  4. Under Pop-up Blocker, clear the Block pop-ups field.
  5. Click OK.

 AOL 8.x and 9.x

  1. On the Tools menu, click Settings.
  2. Click the Internet Options button.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Under Settings, move the slider to Medium.
  5. Under Pop-up Blocker, clear the Block pop-ups field.
  6. Click OK.

Firefox 1.x and 2.x

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Options window, select the Privacy icon.
  3. Select Accept cookies from sites, and then click OK.
  4. On the Options window, select the Content icon.
  5. Clear the Block Popup Windows field, and then click OK.

Netscape 8.x

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Site Control icon.
  3. Click the Site List tab.
  4. Under Web Features, select Allow Pop-up Windows and Allow cookies.
  5. Click OK.
TurboTax Online for Mac

Important: Be sure your browser meets the minimum requirements for TurboTax Online 2007. To view requirements, click here.

Safari 1.x and 2.x

  1. On the Safari menu, click Block Pop-Up Wndows to remove the checkmark.
  2. On the Safari menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click the Security icon at the top of the window.
  4. Under Accept Cookies, select Always.
  5. Close the Preferences window to save the settings.

Firefox 1.x and 2.x

  1. On the Firefox menu, select  Preferences.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Cookies, select Allow sites to set cookies (or Accept cookies from sites).
  4. Click the Content tab, and then clear the Block Popup Windows field.
  5. Click OK.
