If you were double-charged for downloading the same product or e-filing the same tax return, please contact us for a refund of the duplicate charge.We want you to be completely satisfied with TurboTax, but if for any reason you're not, click one of the links below for refund instructions.
Refund Guidelines
- Refund requests must be within 60 days of purchase
- TurboTax Online fees are non-refundable
- E-filing transmission fees are usually non-refundable
- Please allow up to six weeks to receive your refund
For TurboTax CD software purchased from a retailer (Best Buy, Costco, Wal-Mart, Fry's, etc.), uninstall TurboTax from your computer(s) and return the software within 60 days of purchase to the store where you purchased it from, along with a dated receipt. If the store is unable or unwilling to issue a refund, follow the directions below.
For TurboTax software downloaded from Amazon.com, uninstall TurboTax and then send an e-mail request to ereturns@intuit.com within 60 days of purchase. Attach proof of purchase, such as the Your Order with Amazon.com confirmation e-mail (you can also forward that e-mail to the e-mail address above). This is the fastest way to get your refund.
For Amazon downloads, you can also send a written request to Intuit Returns, PO Box 386, Greenville, SC 29334-0386. Include your name, contact information, and a printed copy of your order confirmation.
For TurboTax CD software purchased directly from Intuit, uninstall and delete all copies of TurboTax from your computer(s) and return the software with a dated receipt or packing slip within 60 days of shipment to one of these addresses:

For TurboTax software you purchased directly from Intuit via an Internet download, send a written request for a refund to the address above. Include your name, contact information, and product order information (confirmation number, copy of confirmation e-mail, etc.).
You can use TurboTax Online without charge up to the point you decide to print or e-file your tax return. Printing or e-filing your return reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online, at which time you are required to submit non-refundable payment.
