Wisconsin 2010: Pension Conversion to Roth and/or Small Employer Insurance Credit

Certain customers, who either made a qualified pension conversion to a Roth account and/or had a certain business credit on the federal return, might have filed an incorrect Wisconsin tax return.

TurboTax has fixed this issue.

How to tell if you are impacted:

You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:

  • You filed a 2010 Wisconsin return prior to February 12, 2011 AND
  • You converted a qualified pension to a Roth IRA and on your federal return you elected to pay the tax on the conversion in 2011 and 2012 AND/OR
  • You received a business credit on your federal return Form 8941, Credit for Small Employer Health Insurance Premiums, Line 21.

If none of these apply to you, you may disregard this email. However, if all conditions apply, you may have underpaid or overpaid your taxes, and you'll need to amend your tax return.

If you need to contact us, please use the phone number in the email from TurboTax and tell the representative you’re calling about the Wisconsin 2010: Roth Conversion/Business Credit.
