What if a dependent I am claiming has been claimed by someone else?

If you haven’t filed, or your return has been rejected and you haven’t re-sent it yet, you can remove a dependent from by selecting the Make Changes button next to that dependent on the Tax Summary screen. If your tax return has been filed and accepted, you’ll need to amend it to remove the dependent.
