What if I get an error message that says my Social Security number has been used on another return?

If your return is rejected by the IRS, it's no big deal. Simply follow the steps below:

1. Sign in at TurboTax.com
2. You will be directed to the Tax Summary page
3. Find the section with information about You, and click on the Change button
4. Edit your Social Security number so that it is correct
5. After making your changes, click Continue to finish and re-file your return
