What if I don't have a social security number?

If you don’t have a Social Security Number but you’re eligible, go to the Social Security Administration (ssa.gov) to get one. If you’re not eligible for a Social Security Number and need to pay your taxes, you can apply for an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) from the IRS.
