You can e-file your state return even before you’ve filed your federal return, but you’ll need to finish everything in TurboTax first. That’s because we use the info you give us to prepare both your federal and state returns at the same time. Once you’ve given us all your info and answered all the questions, you’ll have the opportunity to select which returns you want to file now.
