Where to enter New Jersey Family Leave Insurance (NJ FLI)

Some employers issue W-2 forms with New Jersey Family Leave Insurance amounts in the wrong place, for example in Boxes 15 or 17 of the W-2 form.

To ensure that your tax return is calculated correctly, you should always enter New Jersey Family Leave Insurance in Box 14, even if your W-2 form shows it in a different box.

Type NJ FLI TAX in the Box 14 description field and enter the dollar figure in the corresponding Amount field.

Note: TurboTax might assign Other - Not on list below to the NJ FLI amount after you finish entering your W-2 information. Simply choose NJ FLI tax from the drop-down list, and then click Continue.
