Non-cash donations are valued at the amount you could get from selling them at a thrift store or garage sale. Items must be in “good used condition or better” for any deduction to be allowed. TurboTax has a built-in valuation guide that will help you determine the value of your donations, which can be found in the Deductions & Credits section of your federal return.
