When creating W-2's using W-2/1099 Reporter for both Business and Home & Business
Error check was generating an incorrect error message for Social Security Tax Withheld when (Box 3) Social Security Wages are between $110,096 and $110,100
Error check would incorrectly indicate the Form W-2 Worksheet Box 4 is too large for amounts over $4624.
Who Was Affected?
If your Social Security Wages are between $110,096 and $110,100 you were affected by this issue.
If the Social Security wages are then Social Security tax withheld should be
- $110,096 $4624.03
- $110,097 $4624.07
- $110.098 $4624.12
- $110,099 $4624.16
- $110,100 $4624.20
The error message would incorrectly generate for any Social Security tax withheld over $4624.00
Solution:
This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 1/17/2013.
