Article ID: SLN53662
Certain customers, who chose the AGI method to calculate their Vermont Use Tax, might have filed an incorrect state tax return
TurboTax has fixed this issue.
How to tell if you are impacted:
You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:
- You filed a 2010 Vermont return prior to March 5, 2011 AND
- Through the Step-by-Step Interview screens, you chose the AGI Method to calculate your Use Tax AND
- You purchased items of $1,000 or more for which you did not pay Vermont sales tax AND
- You were not presented with a TurboTax screen to enter these purchases
If none of these apply to you, you may disregard this email. However, if all conditions apply, you may have underpaid your taxes, and you’ll need to amend your tax return.
