We provide updates throughout the tax season to keep TurboTax 2012 software in sync with the latest tax changes. Before you file your tax return, be sure you have the latest TurboTax updates.

From the Online menu in TurboTax, select Check for Updates.
The Updater will open and you'll see the message Checking for software updates...
Sit back and wait for the Updater to finish doing its thing. Once you see the message Your software is up to date, you're good to go.

Alternative Method

You can also manually verify that you have the latest 2012 federal updates:

From the Help menu in TurboTax, select About TurboTax [Product] 2012 where [Product] is replaced by Basic, Deluxe, etc.
