Troubleshoot Updating (Mac)

To update your TurboTax software, it must be installed on your computer's hard drive. Do not run TurboTax from the product CD as you would a music CD.
Follow each suggestion in the order listed, and then try updating after completing each step:
- Make sure TurboTax is properly installed.
- Empty your Trash.
- Open your browser and check your Internet connection; are you able to browse to different websites that you normally don't visit?
- Allow cookies and pop-up windows.
- Temporarily disable any security software, such as firewall or virus-protection software. Remember to turn them back on after updating.
- If you tried all of these and are still having problems, try downloading and installing a manual update.
