Changing your TurboTax Update Settings

TurboTax CD/Download software lets you choose how to receive program updates; automatically, through a prompt, or manually. Here's how to change your update settings:

TurboTax for Windows

1. Open your TurboTax software.
2. From the Online menu in TurboTax, select Updater Preferences.
3. Select the option you want and click OK.

TurboTax for Mac

1. Open your TurboTax software.
2. From the TurboTax menu, select Preferences.
3. Select or clear the Check for updates automatically checkbox.
