Windows Vista Hangs When Updating (No Error Message)

Windows Vista may hang when you update TurboTax. No error message appears. Registering the jscript.dll file usually resolves this issue.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Start, then All programs, and then Accessories.
  2. Right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as Administrator.
  3. In the Command Prompt window, type regsvr32 jscript.dll and then press Enter.
  4. Launch and update TurboTax.
