Windows
- In TurboTax, hold down the Ctrl key, then go to the File menu and select Print Setup.
- In the Printer Configuration window, select Force Low Resolution. Clear all other checkboxes.
- Select Save Settings. The window will close.
- From the File menu, select Print.
- If you're still having the problem, change your printer driver to the next lowest driver in the printer series. For example, use the HP DeskJet 820C driver for a DeskJet 820CSE printer.
- If the previous steps do not allow you to print, Click Preview PDF on the Print windows, then click File and Save and Copy. You now can print the PDF outside of TurboTax.
Note: If the previous steps do not allow you to print, click PDF or PDF Options on the print dialog box. You can save the form as a PDF file and print it outside of TurboTax.
Macintosh
- From the File drop-menu, select Print.
- Select the item(s) you want to print, and then select Print.
- From the drop-down list, select Background Printing. If this has already been selected, select General.
- Select Print.
- If the problem persists, again select Print from the File menu.
- From the Print Order drop-down list, select Back to Front, and then Print.
