Error 4115: Temp path too long

Error 4115 occurs when attempting to install .NET 2.0:

The length of the %temp% path is too long.

Your system uses the your temporary folder when installing .NET 2.0. The path to the temporary folder (%temp%) includes your Windows login name. If the path is too long, installation fails.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Cancel TurboTax installation (if necessary).
Create a Windows user account with a shorter user name. (See your Windows Help for steps.)
Important: Be sure the account has administrator rights.
On the Start menu, click Log Off, and then log in to Windows using the new user account.
Install TurboTax.
