Error 1623 occurs when attempting to install .NET 2.0:

This language of this installation package is not supported by your system

TurboTax does not support the language of your Windows computer. To resolve this issue:

Windows Vista/7

Follow the instructions on the Microsoft web page Change the Display Language. Select English (United States)in Step 3.

Windows XP

  1. In Windows, click the Start button and choose Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Click Regional and Language Options.
  3. Choose English (United States) from the drop-down menu and then click OK.
