Error 1312: Can't create folder

Error 1312 occurs when installing TurboTax:

The Windows Installer can’t create the folder [name] because a folder with this name already exists.

(In this message, [name] is replaced by the name of the folder in question.)

 

 

Solution

  1. Exit the installation.
  2. (Optional) Create a new folder.
  3. Install again, except this time select a different folder (or the folder that you created).
