Enter your estimated tax payments for:

Form 1120: Corporations

You can access the estimated taxes section via the interview. Open your corporation return in TurboTax Business, and then:

  1. Click Federal Taxes in the gray bar near the top of your screen.
  2. In the gray bar below that, make sure Other is selected. This will put you on the Miscellaneous Overview screen.
  3. Click through the screens until you reach the Tax Payments screen.
  4. Select the 2009 Estimated Tax Payments checkbox, click Continue, and follow the on-screen instructions.

You can enter estimated tax payments in Forms mode.

  1. In the upper right corner of your screen, click the Forms Mode button.
  2. In the right pane, click the tab labeled Corporation Information Worksheet.
  3. Scroll down to Part IV of the worksheet. Enter the payment information in the Actual Payment Date and Amount Paid columns.
  4. When finished, you can return to the interview by clicking Step by Step in the upper right corner of your screen.

Form 1120S: S Corporations

If you are one of the rare S-Corporations that owes income tax, you can access the estimated taxes section via the interview. Open your corporation return in TurboTax Business, and then:

  1. Click Federal Taxes on the gray bar near the top of your screen.
  2. In the gray bar below that, make sure Other is selected.
  3. Proceed through the interview to the Payments Made Toward 2009 Taxes screen.
  4. Check the Estimated Tax Payments box. Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

You can enter estimated tax payments in Forms mode.

  1. In the upper right corner of your screen, click the Forms Mode button.
  2. In the right pane, click the tab labeled S-Corporation Information Worksheet.
  3. Scroll down to Part III of the worksheet. Enter the payment information in the Date Paid and Amount Paid columns.
  4. When finished, you can return to the interview by clicking Step by Step in the upper right corner of your screen.

Form 1065: Partnerships

Partnerships do not pay taxes. All income, expenses, and credits are passed through to the partners and taxes are paid by the partners based on their income, deductions and credits from all sources. If partners need to make estimated payments, they would use form 1040-ES.

Form 1041: Fiduciaries (Estates and Trusts)

You can access the estimated taxes section via the interview. Open your fiduciary return in TurboTax Business, and then:

  1. Click Federal Taxes in the gray bar near the top of your screen.
  2. In the gray bar below that, make sure Other is selected. This will put you on the Other Taxes screen.
  3. Proceed through the screens until you reach the Tax Payments screen.
  4. Select the 2009 Estimated Tax Payments checkbox, click Continue, and follow the on-screen instructions.

You can enter estimated tax payments in Forms mode.

  1. In the upper right corner of your screen, click the Forms Mode button.
  2. In the right pane, click the tab labeled Fiduciary Information Worksheet.
  3. Scroll down to Part III of the worksheet. Click on the QuickZoom box.
  4. Enter the payment information in the Actual Date Paid and Amount Paid columns.
  5. When finished, you can return to the interview by clicking Step by Step in the upper right corner of your screen.
