Can I get my tax refund in some other way besides a check?

You can receive your refund in a few different ways. In addition to a paper check, you can opt for direct deposit into your bank account or load your refund onto a prepaid card that acts like a bank account.

Generally, you cannot deposit your refund into a bank account that doesn't bear your name.
