Additional Information Regarding Your TurboTax Card Closure

Why is my card account being closed down?

Intuit as a business has decided to no longer offer these cards as part of our services.  Please note that we are planning to offer a new and improved prepaid card - the NetSpend Premier® Visa Prepaid Card in TurboTax 2012.

How can I spend or get money off my card?

You can still use your card as you normally would until February 13, 2013.  We’ve waived the Teller Cash Withdrawal Fee so you can withdraw your entire remaining card balance, from a participating bank that displays the Visa Acceptance Mark.  If you do need to withdraw more than $3,500.00 you must first call the Customer Service Center at 1-866-543-9160 to increase the maximum amount allowed to be withdrawn in a single transaction.

Are you offering any alternatives to get a new account or new card?

At this time we are not offering any alternative cards for these accounts.  TurboTax will be offering the NetSpend Premier® Visa Prepaid Card in the 2012 TurboTax product.  You will not be able to use your TurboTax Card for direct deposit purposes in the upcoming TurboTax product for 2012 tax refunds.
