You receive the error, "You cannot use this version of the application TurboTax Deluxe 2012 with this version of Mac OS X," when attempting to launch TurboTax 2012 on a Mac running OS X 10.6.

Explanation

For the 2012 version of TurboTax, we no longer support Macs using PowerPC processors. As Apple has only used Intel-based processors since 2006, the decision was made to devote the resources previously used for PowerPC development to other aspects of the TurboTax product line, such as stability and user experience.
