Why is the price of TurboTax Online different from TurboTax software?

TurboTax Online and TurboTax CD/Download software are not priced the same because they offer different options.

For example, in TurboTax Online, there's an extra fee to do your state return, whereas the TurboTax software gives you one free state program. On the other hand, TurboTax Online's state program includes the cost of e-filing the state, whereas in the software version state e-filing costs extra.
